Marina Mandraki Rhodes
Mandraki marina is in the oldest port of Rhodes town. It is a public port that does not offer all the facilities of a modern private marina, but they provide a minimum of comfort, power, water and supermarkets are located near the yachts. Both the port and the city of Rhodes are located in the northernmost tip of the island directly below the medieval castle and opposite the market square of Rhodes. It is a 30-minute drive from the airport and a 20-minute walk from the commercial (ferry) port of Rhodes.
Mandraki port was the most important port of Rhodes for almost 2500 years. On the left you see the entrance to the harbor and the two deer, Elafos and Elafina. It is believed that the Colossus of Rhodes stood there over the entrance, the Rhodian symbol of strength and wealth. Mandraki Harbor remains very active, with a lot of sailing boats, private yachts and small cruise ships offering trips in Rhodes and other nearby islands.
